Keep It Clean Malibu: Storm Drain Mural Project

In 2014, I was very fortunate to be chosen by City of Malibu to paint murals on four of their storm drains around the community.  The work was funded by a generous grant to the city. Urban runoff is one of the largest forms of pollutants to ocean life in Los Angeles.  Urban runoff is trash, pesticides, and other pollutants that end up flowing down a storm drain and affecting marine life on the other end. This project was done to call attention to this issue and raise awareness about prevention methods that anyone can utilize to protect our cherished ocean life! Here are the results…

The Keep it Clean, Malibu campaign was recognized by California Stormwater Quality Association as an outstanding project in the storm water industry at their annual conference September, 2015.
